It is the most requested area, and the one where the vocabulary is vaguest. The names change from one salon to another, and many people do not dare ask what is included. Here is what each option covers with us, with the matching prices.
The four options, precisely
Classic bikini — €56
What shows outside a swimsuit: the groin, on both sides, over a few centimetres. We touch neither the triangle nor the inside. It is the option most requested by those who simply want to settle the swimsuit-edge question.
French bikini — €78
The classic, but wider, with a cleared strip on top. A neat triangle remains at the front. It is the natural middle ground between classic and full, and often the choice of those who are hesitating.
Full bikini — €95
Everything is treated, including the intergluteal area. It is the most complete option and, in practice, the one that brings the most daily comfort: no more shaving, no more ingrown hairs, no more regrowth to keep an eye on.
SIF alone — €50
The intergluteal area treated on its own, for those who only need that. It is included in the full bikini; taking it separately only makes sense if the rest does not interest you.
How to choose without regret
One thing to know first: you can always go wider, you cannot go back. The laser is lasting. If you are torn between two options, start with the smaller one: you can extend at the next session, whereas a treated hair does not come back.
A few concrete pointers:
- It only bothers you in summer, in a swimsuit: the classic is plenty.
- You shave every week and you have had enough: French or full. That is where the time saved becomes real.
- You get ingrown hairs, redness or spots after shaving: full bikini. It is the only option that solves the problem across the whole affected area, and it is often the real reason behind the request — see our article on ingrown hairs.
- You wear tight sportswear or swim regularly: full bikini, for the same reasons.
What happens during the session
The session lasts 15 to 25 minutes depending on the option. We leave you alone to get settled, the untreated area stays covered, and the device only goes where agreed — the outline is defined with you before we start.
It has to be said plainly: this is one of the most sensitive areas of the body. Thin skin, dense dark hair, plenty of nerve endings. In return, bikini hair is also among the best responders to the laser, and the session is short. We describe the sensation in our article on what a session feels like.
A practical tip: avoid booking a bikini in the days before your period, when sensitivity is markedly higher.
How many sessions, and how often
Count on 6 to 10 sessions, spaced 6 to 8 weeks apart. The bikini is one of the areas where the difference shows early: from the second or third session, regrowth is slower and finer.
Between sessions, shave as much as you like. No wax, no tweezers, no epilator: the laser needs the root.
On dark skin
The bikini is precisely the area where the choice of device matters most, because the skin there is often more pigmented than on the rest of the body. We use the Nd:YAG, with gradual settings. It is also the area where the laser most visibly clears the marks left by ingrown hairs.
Talking about it plainly
The first appointment is a free assessment. We look at the area, define the outline together, give you the number of sessions and the price — and you are committed to nothing. See the bikini page or our full price list.
