Treatment Overview:
Consultation: Before starting your laser hair removal treatment, a consultation session is conducted to establish a diagnosis and define the targeted areas. Your hair density and hormonal situation will be taken into consideration. This consultation is provided free of charge and does not obligate you in any way.
Precautions:
No sun exposure or tanning beds during the treatment period.
The hair in the treatment area should be no longer than 1 mm before the session. Shaving should be done accordingly (except for women’s facial areas).
The hair should not be bleached or removed by tweezing or waxing, as the laser targets the hair follicle.
Session Duration: The duration of a laser hair removal session can vary from 10 to 60 minutes, depending on the treated body area.
Treatment Duration: The total treatment duration depends on several factors such as hair density, hair color, and individual skin type. Generally, long-term treatment helps slow down hair regrowth, make the hairs finer, and reduce their quantity.
Comfort: During the treatment, a device is used to provide skin cooling to the treated area, causing an anesthetic effect.
Risks and Side Effects:
- After the laser treatment, there may be a slight sensation of local warmth or tingling, which can be relieved with ice compresses.
- The skin will react after the treatment, and there will be temporary redness or small papules that will disappear after 24-48 hours, or they might last longer in the case of thicker hair areas or reactive skin.
- If erythema (redness) appears, cold compresses will be applied, or thermal water might be sprayed repeatedly at one-hour intervals on the treated area. After facial hair removal, the practitioner recommends using a cream with sun protection.
- Hot showers on the treated area or saunas are prohibited on the day of the treatment.
- Sun exposure and the use of tanning beds are prohibited for at least 2 weeks after the treatment, as the hair in the treated area will initially grow as usual, but after an interval of 10 to 14 days, the root will regress and be removed. After several sessions of permanent hair removal, a slowdown in hair growth will be noticed, and the hairs will become finer.
